I have been with my significant other for almost 9 years now. We are both 26 years old and are not married yet. He wants to be totally financially ready before we get married. Is this a bad sign? Is there such a thing as too long of a wait?

I understand where he's coming from. But I also don't think you need a marriage to prove anything. What difference would it make to both of you when you do get married besides a certificate and tax benefits?
